Meet Kellie Johnson:
Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Kellie Johnson's journey has taken her across the South. She has called Madison, Mississippi home for the past five years. Married to her husband, Will, for nine years, she stays busy with three little ones – Liam, Larsyn, and Mae James.
A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Dance Minor, Kellie furthered her academic pursuits with a Masters of Business Administration from UNO, specializing in finance. Kellie's versatile skill set spans a unique range – sales, logistics, dance education, and the art of floral design. Her unique experience across these fields allows her to bring dynamic skills to her partnership with Meagan in creating and executing the Verdigris concept.
While Kellie's career boasts an impressive array of achievements, her heart has always been drawn to the pursuit of joyful living that prioritizes family. With a passion for finding pieces that breathe life and warmth into homes, Kellie is thrilled to be a part of curating spaces that are beautiful, thoughtful and functional. Outside of her professional endeavors, Kellie finds joy in the simple moments spent with her family, whether at home or visiting loved ones in Mobile. As a self-proclaimed homebody with a creative itch, Kellie relaxes and recharges by channeling her energy into home projects, plants and florals, and creative opportunities with her kids.
You’ll see her gift of elegant and collected minimalism woven throughout Verdigris’ offerings. Kellie's approach to both fashion and interior design mirrors her values of simplicity, longevity, and celebration of life.
Meet Meagan McPherson:
Born in Jackson, Mississippi, and raised in small-town Greenville, Meagan McPherson's journey has come full circle, now calling Madison home since 2017. A devoted wife to Will McPherson and a nurturing mother of three - Charlie, Tatum, and Jack - Meagan's life is a testament to the values of family, community, and creativity.
With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish and a Master's in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling, Meagan brings a wealth of knowledge and unique perspective to her role at Verdigris. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist, she has touched countless lives through her clinical work, fostering healing and growth.
In her professional career, Meagan channeled her skill of creativity in her role as a Clinical Director in a private practice in Southaven, Mississippi, overseeing transformative therapy initiatives and guiding both children and adults towards brighter tomorrows.
Meagan's passion for creating meaningful spaces transcends the realms of counseling. Design and a passion for home has been rooted deeply in her heart from a young age. For as long as she can remember, she has observed the intricate details of homes, whether it was in her travels or on the charming streets of the Mississippi Delta.
With a keen eye for detail honed through overseeing both renovations and new builds, Meagan has consulted on projects big and small, infusing each space with a sense of personal narrative and warmth.
At Verdigris, Meagan's heart beats for helping others craft homes that reflect their unique stories. Whether it's collaborating with clients, sub-contractors, or fellow designers, Meagan's dedication to tailor-made solutions shines through. She believes that home is more than just a physical space - it's a sanctuary where one finds rest, inspiration, and a true sense of belonging.
